چکیده

Glass-ionomer cement (GIC) is bioactive and independent. Bioactivity, which a big trend in restorative dentistry. When they actively stimulate with microbiological species besides their primary function of restoring tooth structure then materials should called “bioactive” materials. The purpose this study was to determine the bond stability change interfacial ultra-structure conventional glass-ionomer bonded dentin, without pre-treatment using polyalkenoic acid conditioner. occlusal dentin surfaces six teeth were ground flat. either or conditioning. sectioned into 1-mm2 stick-shaped specimens. specimens obtained randomly assigned two groups different periods storage water: 1-week 3-year. micro-tensile strength (μTBS) determined for each time. Additional prepared analysis by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM); produced prior conditioning same way as μTBS test. There no significant difference conditioned non-conditioned (p > 0.05). failures appeared be mixed nature, although aging caused more areas cohesive than adhesive failure both groups. Aging did not reduce use Remineralized layer observed unconditioned 3-years

Effect of Conditioning and Aging on the Bond Strength and Interfacial Morphology of Glass-ionomer Cement Bonded to Dentin.

PURPOSE To determine the bond stability and the change in interfacial ultrastructure of a conventional glassionomer cement bonded to dentin, with and without pretreatment using a polyalkenoic acid conditioner. MATERIALS AND METHODS The occlusal dentin surfaces of 10 teeth were ground flat. Glass-ionomer cement was bonded to the surfaces either with or without polyalkenoic acid conditioning. T...

Bond Strength of Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cement to Primary Dentin after Cutting with Different Bur Types and Dentin Conditioning

The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of different bur types and acid etching protocols on the shear bond strength (SBS) of a resin modified glass ionomer cement (RM-GIC) to primary dentin. Forty-eight clinically sound human primary molars were selected and randomly assigned to four groups (n=12). In G1, the lingual surface of the teeth was cut with a carbide bur until a 2.0...

Effect of Intracanal Dentin Conditioning with Xylene, Phosphoric Acid and Chlorhexidine on Bond Strength to Glass Fiber Post with Self-Adhesive Cement

Background and Aim: Debonding is the most commonly encountered failure in teeth restored with fiber posts that mainly occurs at the weakest interface (dentin-cement interface). Thus, reinforcement of this interface is mandatory. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different root dentin surface treatments after post space preparation on bond strength of fiber posts cemented with ...

Effect of different conditioning protocols on the adhesion of a glass ionomer cement to dentin.

AIM The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of different surface treatments on the shear bond strength (SBS) of a resin modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) to dentin. METHODS AND MATERIALS Forty human third molar teeth were randomly divided into four groups (n=10). The occlusal enamel was removed to obtain a flat surface of dentin. Each group was treated as follows: Group 1: 10% ...
